Affordable range of business laptops indicate growing relationship with AMD

HP launches ProBook range

Hewlett Packard has revealed its ProBook line of nine business laptops, which are intended to be affordable machines for the small to medium business market.

Unlike other HP devices, some SKU’s from this latest range utilises AMD multi-core processors, which the company claims offer up to 69 per cent better performance than previous generations.

According to HP, the ProBook 6455b and 6555b utilise AMD’s Vision Pro technology in an effort to provide cost effective performance, while the ProBook 6450b and 6550b use Intels vPro technology offer efficiency, as well as flexible docking and wireless options.

The ProBook 4325s, 4425s and 4525s offer a choice of AMD processors, including the Phenom II, the Turion II, the Athlon II or the V-series, and thw HP 425 and 625 are the lower end of the range, offering optional wireless, webcam and microphone as well as a spill resistant keyboard.
