Colour laser jet offers speed of up 32 pages a minute

Samsung zooms in with new printer

Samsung is looking to further stamp its mark on the printer market this month, with the launch of its fastest colour laser printer, which can reach speeds of up to 32 pages per minute.

Aimed at the corporate environment, the CLP-770ND has been designed to be as user friendly as possible – thereby cutting down on training time – while being powerful and versatile enough to cope with the demand of the modern office.

The usability and power of the new printer is key to Samsung’s strategy of increasing its market share in the HP and Xerox dominated sector.

"Enhancing our product portfolio to meet the needs of business customers is key to extending our leadership in the printing marketplace," explains B2B IT product manager for Printers and MFDs at Samsung, Kiran Sanghera.

Much of the focus on development has been on the interface, and the inclusion of a 720MHz processor. At the same time, it is possible to also configure the new printer with an 80GB hard drive to increase the speed at which it can process and store information while printing; ideal for when a lot of users are attempting to use the device at the same time.

"With this versatile new device, we have introduced features to meet customer requirements for high-end colour printing in the corporate office environment," adds Sanghera.
