New figures from the research group, SPSL, display growth for second year running

London retailers unaffected by credit concerns

Central London retailers are yet to feel the credit crunch according to the latest figures from research group, SPSL.

It said that retail sales in Central London during October were up 11 per cent year on year – something made even more poignant when you consider that October 2006’s figures were up 15.8 per cent year on year.

Many large purchases were down though, although computer equipment was relatively unaffected.
