New managing director resigns before he takes the position

Ingram Micro loses UK head

Pablo Suarez, the man that Ingram Micro had planned to appoint as its new UK managing director, has chosen to stay in the US and take employment with a different company.

According to Microscope, the decision had come about due to an inability to secure a UK visa and an attractive offer that tempted Suarez to stay in Miami with his family.

Suarez was intended to replace Ingram Micro UK’s outgoing head Julian Klein. Until a new replacement is found, former UK MD Johan Vandenbussche will hold the position.

“We are looking internally and externally,” Ingram Micro’s EMEA vice president for human resources, Robyn Tingley told Microscope. “We have already activated the search so would hope to have somebody in place in the coming weeks.”
