Zoom has introduced AI Companion 3.0 at Zoomtopia 2025, which is a significant expansion of agentic AI capabilities across its platform. The update brings new productivity tools, deeper contextual intelligence, and tailored AI surfaces to Zoom Workplace and Zoom Business Services.
AI Companion 3.0 is designed to act as a proactive work partner, helping users manage tasks, extract insights, and deliver higher-quality outputs. It integrates across meetings, chats, emails, and third-party platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, with new features such as AI-powered note-taking, outcome-focused prompts, and dynamic work surfaces.
“Our customers’ most important conversations happen on Zoom, and now those conversations can result in critical insights to fuel real progress,” said Eric S. Yuan, Zoom founder and CEO. “With AI Companion 3.0, our agentic AI can understand users’ specific context, priorities, and goals to help them cut through the noise, focus on what matters most, and drive meaningful business outcomes.”
Zoom Business Services also introduced new agentic AI features for customer experience and virtual agent workflows. These include:
- Agentic AI Expert Assist for automating support tasks
- CX Insights for extracting business intelligence from customer interactions
- Automated Quality Management for oversight of virtual agent performance
- Zoom Revenue Accelerator (ZRA) for AI-driven prospecting and outreach.
The platform now supports real-time voice translation in Zoom Meetings, with Zoom reporting improved accuracy over competitors in recent evaluations. Custom AI Companion, a low-code builder for tailored AI agents, is also available starting today at an added cost. AI Companion 3.0 will be generally available in November 2025 for paid Zoom Workplace accounts.
