TD Synnex adds ‘Cost-Per-Click’ option To OpenMPS

TD Synnex has made its OpenMPS managed print service even more flexible and appealing by adding a ‘cost-per-click’ option that enables partners to offer customers a pay-per-use service for print with auto-replenishment of ink and toner cartridges as required.

With the cost-per-click (CPC) option, instead of being charged for replacement ink or toner cartridges (which are shipped in advance of the ink running out), customers will be invoiced for the exact number of pages they print, with the replenishment costs included in their bill. The whole process is managed through OpenMPS.

Chris Bates, business unit director, print and supplies, UK, TD Synnex, said that the CPC option had been added to meet changing customer needs. “Everything in IT is moving towards a subscription model and a lot of customers like the idea of cost-per-click. We’re always taking feedback from our partners and decided that this would be a good option to add to OpenMPS. It’s easy to see the appeal, as it allows customers to see exactly what print is costing them. From a reseller perspective, it’s excellent as the whole process is automated and it brings in recurring and profitable income.”

A free OpenMPS consultation is available for partners that want to explore the CPC option with their customers. Subsequently, a full proposal will be put forward that includes automated replenishment of printer supplies, device installation, enhanced warranty, and monthly recurring revenue.
