E92plus has further strengthened their cybersecurity portfolio and data security offering with the signing of Netwrix, making their solutions available to the e92plus partner community. Netwrix protects over 13,500 organisations worldwide, strengthening their security and compliance posture across all three primary attack vectors: data, identity and infrastructure, and provides solutions that addresses all five NIST functions.
Netwrix’s 2023 Hybrid Security Trends Report highlighted not just the continual increase in cyberattacks and the subsequent costs incurred (over $50,000 for 16% of organisations, and over two thirds of organisations suffering an attack) but also the increasing focus on managing privileged access to sensitive data. Implementing a PAM (Privileged Access Management) solution was ranked as the number one security measure that IT professionals would enhance if they had the opportunity.
Account compromise attacks in the cloud have more than doubled in the past two years, and the risk associated with an organization’s own employees was the top data security concern, cited by 58% of respondents. This highlights a huge opportunity for the channel to help customers evolve their cybersecurity strategy to address these trends, and ensuring employees have the right access – and those credentials are secured – as well as investing in perimeter defences.
“The increasing complexity of having visibility, control and the ability to audit data and permissions across on-premise networks and multiple cloud environments is something we are seeing customers really struggle with” explains Mukesh Gupta, CEO of e92plus. “The Netwrix offering will help our partners take a comprehensive approach to that challenge, helping their customers meet the increasing requirements around compliance or demonstrating adherence to cyber insurance requirements.”
“More than 450 UK organizations rely on the Netwrix products to simplify the effort required to secure their data, identities, and infrastructure. We help IT and security professionals to reduce the risk of a breach and to limit the impact of the attack should a breach occur,” says Simon Pearce, Vice President, EMEA and APAC, Netwrix. “With this partnership, we expand the Netwrix presence in the region and stay committed to our channel-first strategy.”
The increasingly converged channel of VARs, MSPs and CSPs highlights the need for vendors to offer solutions that can address every way a customer looks to procure and manage their cybersecurity stack. In Netwrix’s recent survey, the challenge for MSPs in particular is clear:
- 61% of organizations in the MSP sector suffered a cyberattack within the last 12 months
- 70% of MSPs named network security and data security in their top IT priorities
This partnership gives access to the Netwrix solutions for both VARs and MSPs. For e92plus, the growth of the business serving MSPs and MSSPs has been critical to record revenues in 2022, and addresses both the huge opportunity in managed services around cybersecurity, but also the need for the MSPs to protect themselves as well as their customers. Supply chain attacks surpassed the number of malware-based attacks by 40% in 2022 (3), and MSPs are a prime target with their connections to multiple customer networks and enhanced privileged access to them.
“To reduce risk, it is vital for MSPs to implement zero standing privilege and password security solutions, as well be ready to defend against cyberattacks with effective identity threat detection and response tools” explains Dirk Schrader, VP of Security Research at Netwrix.
