Comms365, the Network Services Company and leader in bonded internet, cellular networking and resiliency solutions, has taken the next step in its growth plan by appointing the highly experienced John Whitty as Chairman of the Board.
Whitty’s ICT experience tracks back to the 80’s, when he was a member of The Royal Corps of Signals for nearly two decades, before moving into the Private sector as CTO of Pipex Communications.
He has since held leadership roles at Kabel-X, GCI Com and Solar Communications (as CEO, MD and CEO, respectively). More recently, he was the CEO of Air IT before being invited to become Chairman of Gradwell Communications in July 2022.
As Chairman of Comms365, John will spread his wealth of knowledge and experience even further across the Channel, leveraging decades of well-built relationships to enable Comms365 to collaborate even deeper with Channel organisations of all sizes.
“Our Channel is full of remarkable technology and even more amazing people. Having previously worked with the Comms365 management team, I am extremely pleased to be invited to join them and help lead and connect the business to more of those same amazing people and technologies. The technical solutions delivered by Comms365 are critical to all businesses given their reliance on ‘always on’ connectivity, which will, in turn, benefit the entire Channel ecosystem – from our vendor partners and direct customers to our reseller partners and their end-customers.” commented John Whitty, Chairman, Comms365.
Mike van Bunnens, Comms365’s Managing Director, is looking forward to working with John and experiencing first-hand the impact he will have on the operation.
“We’re accelerating our growth and John’s experience, in rapidly building technology businesses in such a fast-paced industry, will be instrumental in helping us define, refine and execute the right strategy to achieve our goals.
He’s already seamlessly integrated himself within the business, and we’re all excited to see how John can develop the business and ourselves, even further.” said Mike VanBunnens, Managing Director, Comms365.
