The pop of champagne corks welcomed guests upon arrival to this year’s PCR Awards at the opening champagne drinks reception, sponsored by drinks reception partner, msi. With that and the lively buzz of chatter the PCR Awards 2022, at London’s 18th-century, The brewery were officially marked as open.
The venue looked spectacular awash with a sweeping array of beautifully adorned tables following the high demand of bookings from guests this year. Each table was finished with a bouquet of balloons, which guests took great delight in popping to see if theirs contained a ‘golden tick’, which could be exchanged for prizes!
There was no doubt this was going to be a night to remember. Soon after a delicious three-course meal, sporting world aficionado and our host for the evening, Suzy Perry took to the stage to present the 27 awards lined up to commend the PC and tech industry’s outstanding achievements.
The presentation of the awards saw many industry greats take to the stage to mark their victory and claim their highly coveted PCR Awards trophy.
Two new categories this year saw Network Group scoop the award for our Community Focus Award, whilst Trust Gaming and Agilitas both scored a win in the new award category for Sustainability Initiative of the Year.
But the crowning glory went to distributor, Exertis who was announced as this year’s PCR Awards Company of the Year. Recognised as a company that is firmly focused on its own ongoing objectives, Exertis has continued to reevaluate, renew and refresh its people centric nature. Over the past year alone, it has raised awareness of mental health issues, unveiling the Exertis Charity Committee and its official partnership with Mental Health UK. The company also Appointed ERG Chairs for Women, People from Ethnic Minorities, and LGBTQIA+ Communities fostering innovation towards diversity, inclusion and equality.
To top it all Exertis launched an exciting new gaming zone in the basement of Hamleys toy store in Central London, creating a new gaming retail space, highlighting that it clearly has its finger on the pulse of on trend consumer demand.
For PCR Awards’ own gaming experience, guests were treated to a Super Charged Experience in the gaming zone sponsored by headline partner, HP with Intel.
Following the awards ceremony, TV celebrity, Shaun Williamson soon got the after party started as guests were taken on a spectacular Barrioke experience of signing and entertainment.
