Tech Data supports Triton IBM2 migration to cloud Pak for data

Tech Data has supported IBM partner Triton Consulting in developing a capability to migrate Db2 solutions to the IBM Cloud Pak for Data Systems containerised platform. It is thought to be one of the first partner businesses to develop such a capability in the UK or Europe.

Corin Wright, Practice Builder lead for UK and Ireland at Tech Data, said: “The work we’ve done with Triton is a great example of how effective Practice Builder can be in helping partners to go from where they are today, to where they need to be in tomorrow’s market, in a structured, methodical, and measurable way. It’s worked brilliantly for Triton, which is now in a position to offer a new kind of service that genuinely differentiates its business.”

Practice Builder can do the same for any partner, Wright noted. “Every partner’s current situation and goals are different. Through Practice Builder, we can provide any partner with a tailored programme of learning and development that will accelerate their transformation and time to market in key areas such as IBM Data Pak, security, and cloud solutions.”

Tech Data’s Practice Builder is a methodology that enables partners to build their competence and capability in a technology area. It is designed to work for partners at every stage of their development – whether they have minimal knowledge or already have some expertise and experience. It provides educational and business support resources that enable the partner to build long-term success in their chosen area of specialisation.
