Com Laude has appointed Martin Sutton to lead the Group’s dotBrand Services along with

Christa Taylor

, who will drive all its marketing initiatives for the next round.

Nick Wood, Exec Chair of Com Laude Group said: “Martin and Christa bring extensive knowledge and experience in the world of new gTLDs, having been involved with applicants in the last round and actively engaged in the domain industry, including the global policy-making body, ICANN, for many years. Both were part of the leadership team developing policy and process improvements for future rounds of new gTLDs.

Christa has been launching and driving TLD registry businesses since 2014 and supported over 50 new gTLD applicants in the 2012 round. With a Master’s degree in both Predictive Analytics (MSPA) and e-Business (MBA) coupled with an accounting designation (CPA) she is adept in utilising data science to design strategic initiatives to form marketing strategies and to deliver benefits to customers.

Martin was a former risk manager for one of the world’s leading global banks, HSBC, managing digital risks related to domains name portfolios, online fraud and security, brand protection and enforcement. He led HSBC’s new gTLD programme and application for their dotBrand. Martin was also a co-founder and former president of the Brand Registry Group, an association that supports and advocates for dotBrand operators and future applicants.
