Tech Data’s latest Software Store with dedicated pages for Dell support contracts enables partners to maximise renewals business with lower turnaround times.
Using the online portal via InTouch, Tech Data’s ecommerce platform, it is possible to see renewals for the current and next two quarters, so that customers whose support contracts are due for renewal immediately can be contacted.
As prices are pre-approved, partners can provide a quote for the customer right away and place the order immediately. They can log-on and view the information – and download it into Excel or other software – at any time. Tech Data is sending monthly emails to registered Dell partners with details of upcoming renewals.
Access to the portal will cut the amount of time partners need to spend actively seeking out a renewal quote and placing an order dramatically. Previously, it could have taken anything from a few hours to two days to process a renewal.
Matt Warwick, Dell Technologies business unit director at Tech Data, UK said: “The new Dell Software Store will ensure Dell partners need never miss out on support contract renewals and make it faster and easier for them to transact renewals business. It’s going to help them do more business and save a huge amount of time. This is an unrivalled resource for Dell partners – there is nothing like this anywhere in the channel today – and one that aligns perfectly with our trusted advisor approach, of driving sales growth and profit, reducing cost and enhancing end-user customer satisfaction for partners.”
Previously, Dell partners would have needed to keep a record of renewal dates and pro-actively request a quote through Tech Data.
Renewals for support contracts that cover a range of Dell servers, storage and networking products are available via the Tech Data Software Store. The Dell portal is the eighth to go live on InTouch. There are already stores for Autodesk, Adobe, Cisco, Microsoft, Red Hat, Veeam, and VMware. Tech Data is also preparing to launch more dedicated renewals portals, with Veritas the next due to go live soon and another being readied for Broadcom/Symantec.
