Lenovo’s LanSchool has announced its cloud-based classroom management software, LanSchool Air, is now available for schools across the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Sweden, Italy, France, Spain, and Germany. LanSchool has provided a classroom management software in the education technology space for over 30 years, serving over 12 million customers in 75 countries.
LanSchool Air is a teaching aid that helps teachers connect with students within a digital space, both in the classroom and remotely. It includes features to help monitor and protect student devices, enabling communication and screen sharing, and provides device management to help guide learning, promote collaboration, and maximise teaching time. Top features include screen monitoring, limit web, blank screen, messaging, and push website.
The remote classroom
The self-hosted version of the software, LanSchool Classic is already being widely being used across Europe in schools, which is available in 15 languages including English, French, Italian and German. The addition of the new cloud-based LanSchool Air, which is fully hosted and managed by LanSchool, gives schools a path to classroom management software adoption. The LanSchool Air servers are based in the UK and are GDPR compliant.
“Great educators are looking for ways to guide students digitally to help foster meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for future success,” said Coby Gurr, General Manager at Lenovo Software. “Cloud-based LanSchool Air will make it easier for schools to get up and running quickly and expand their classroom management software adoption to more classrooms and remote environments.”
“LanSchool Air has helped our U.S. schools adapt quickly and successfully to new learning demands, including 1:1 devices, collaborative learning, and distance learning,” said Rich Henderson, Director of Global Education Solutions in Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group. “Lenovo is committed to providing smarter technology for all, and with this LanSchool Air expansion to Europe, educators will now have access to an award-winning, cloud-based classroom management software to help guide learning and support their students.”
