Verbatim has launched the Store’n’Go Mini SSD, a super-small and lightweight Solid State Drive in a stylish black 3D surface design. Available in 512GB and 1TB capacities, the palm-sized Store’n’Go Mini SSD weighs just 35g and has a USB3.2 Gen 1 interface for data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps. It is the latest (and smallest) in a range of high-capacity storage devices using the Verbatim Store’n’Go black 3D enclosure. Others include a range of portable 2.5” hard drives, 2.5” portable SSDs, fingerprint encrypted portable hard drives, and desktop hard drives.
To enable Mac and PC owners to benefit from improved connectivity to USB-C and USB-A ports, the Store’n’Go Mini SSD includes a Micro-B to USB-A cable and a USB-A to USB-C adapter. The drive is FAT32 formatted which allows it to be used interchangeably between Windows and Mac computers without reformatting. For content with files sizes larger than 4GB, software is supplied on the drive to reformat to HFS+ for Macs and NTFS for PCs.
The 1TB model can typically store up to 2,000 films, 250,000 songs or 450,000 photos. The drive comes pre-installed with Nero Backup software** for full system backup and restore functionality which allows users to schedule automatic backups. The SSD also has USB Rec&Play*** to allow the drive to act as a video recorder for TVs that support USB connectivity, allowing recording, playback and even pausing of live TV.
