Steve Martin joins Maverick AV Solutions as Head of Sales in UK&I

AV distribution specialist Maverick AV Solutions has appointed Steve Martin as head of sales for UK&I.

Martin will lead customer engagement as Maverick expands its AV/IT customer base with new manufacturer partnerships and global capabilities.

With over 17 years of experience in the industry, Martin began his career working with Micro Peripherals (now Exertis), then became part of the Tech Data family in 2003. An experienced operator with a dedicated work ethic, Martin’s background of both sales and management roles have provided him with deep technical knowledge and customer relationships which span IT, AV and UC integration channels.

In 2006, he became the youngest sales manager in the history of Tech Data and subsequently led his team from being the smallest in terms of revenue to the top position. A strong team player with a customer focus, Martin will be ensuring high service levels and technical expertise within all levels of the Maverick sales team.

With expertise in partner management, cloud computing and enterprise sales, he will lead the sales operation at Maverick UK, which has recently expanded to 17 people with 170 accounts, driving its position as market leader in platform driven smart meetings solutions.

“Maverick has a cutting-edge manufacturer portfolio with some truly game-changing products, which gives them a unique position in the market as smart meeting specialists. I’m especially driven to be working with Maverick’s Microsoft smart meeting solutions; Surface Hub 2S, the Avocor and Sharp Windows Collaboration Displays, as well as their end to end Teams solutions,” commented Martin.

“My knowledge of all the divisions of Tech Data including our IoT and security divisions will enable me to bring together solutions for our customers which add real value and deliver innovative results.”

Anna-Marie Constantinou, business unit director at Maverick AV Solutions, added: “With 15 years of experience in sales and business development, Steve is a well-known member of the Tech Data team. His knowledge and team leadership will help us to further our delivery of excellent service to our customers within these sectors. Heading into 2020 we have more convergent technologies for the smart meeting sector than ever before, helping our integrator partners to be at the cutting edge of workplace transformation.”

Martin will be based in the Basingstoke HQ for Maverick UK, which has demonstration facilities for the portfolio of smart signage and meeting technologies. He can be contacted on
