Microsoft UK’s OEM channel boss Nicola Young moves into new cloud role

Well-known Microsoft UK executive Nicola Young has taken on a new role as partner capacity and enablement lead.

Having worked as OEM channel sales lead for Microsoft UK during the past four years, where she was responsible for managing the distribution strategy for OEM devices as well as the relationship between Microsoft and local OEM system builders and resellers, Young has now moved into a more cloud-focused role.

As partner capacity and enablement lead, she will be responsible for building the channel capacity for Microsoft’s cloud technologies revenue goals.

This will involve transforming the channel across SMB to enterprise to increase the mix, frequency and volume of Microsoft Cloud deals and sales of products including Azure, CRM Online and Office 365.

Young first joined Microsoft UK back in 2003 as partner marketing manager, before working her way up to OEM channel sales lead.

She has opened and given talks at several PCR Boot Camp conferences in recent years, and was named as one of our top 50 women in tech in 2014.

A replacement for Young’s previous role of OEM channel sales lead has not yet been announced, with Microsoft currently interviewing potential candidates.
