The arm features a hand, which users can hold

Forget the selfie stick – there’s now a selfie ‘arm’

If you thought the selfie stick was an odd tech device, then you’ll be pleased to know that developers have created the selfie arm.

Designed by artists Aric Snee and Justin Crowe, the arm features a shirtsleeve and a hand with a greyish tinge, which users can hold on to whislt capturing ‘selfies’ of themselves.

On another peculiar note, the arm has also been designed to be in the photo, giving the impression the user is holding hands with someone.

It seems that artist Crowe is hoping to combat loneliness with the new device, and said on his website: “Nobody wants to look alone while they mindlessly snap pictures of themselves – the product conveniently provides you a welcoming arm.”

The product is constructed out of lightweight fiberglass material and is currently only a prototype.
