Job advert hints a port may be on the way

Grand Theft Auto 5 PC petition gains over 200,000 signatures

A Change.org campaign to persuade Rockstar Games to release a PC port of Grand Theft Auto 5 has amassed over 200,000 signatures so far.

While the game is due out on September 17th, so far the studio has only confirmed its release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Although there isn’t a PC release date yet, recent rumours suggest that Grand Theft Auto 5 may be playable on PC at this year’s Gamescom, also a new job advert at Rockstar suggests the port is on the way.

“Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.”

The petition needs fewer than 100,000 more people to pledge their support before an official request is mailed to the studio.
