Gaming brand launches three new laptops which features Intel's latest chip technology

Alienware revamps gaming line-up with Haswell laptops

Alienware has refreshed its range of gaming laptops with the introduction of three new Haswell powered devices at this year’s E3.

The newly introduced range is made up of three new laptops, including the Alienware 14, Alienware 17 and Alienware 18, all of which feature all new designs.

In Alienware’s own words, the range is inspired by "jet engines and stealth bombers", perhaps referring to the laptops’ metallic black frame and anodised aluminium shell.

Meanwhile on the inside, the new devices are powered by Intel’s latest Haswell processor technology. Each model sports an Intel i7 quad-core processor, along with dedicated Nvidia GeForce 700 series graphics.

For those seeking absolute performance, the Alienware 18 boasts Nvidia SLI dual graphics and an overclocked i7 chip, which clocks in with a top speed of 4.3GHz.

Additional features of the devices include Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio, fully customisable lighting options and anti-glare wide-angle LCD HD display – with the Alienware 18 even offering a 3D display option.

Here in the UK, the new range starts with the Alienware 14 priced at £1,099, whilst availability of the 17 and 18 is set to be announced shortly.
