Yahoo to close more apps on April 30th

Yahoo closes six more products, including Yahoo Mail for feature phones

Following the closure of seven apps and services last month, Yahoo has announced another six that will get the chop.

In a bid to streamline and focus its services, Yahoo will close down the six services on April 30th.

Upcoming, Yahoo Deals, Yahoo SMS Alerts, Yahoo Kids, and Yahoo Mail and Messenger on feature phones, will all be axed as the firm looks to slim down its offerings from 75 to around 15.

Older versions of Yahoo Mail, such as Yahoo Mail Classic, will also be unavailable from June 3rd. Those still using older versions are advised to switch to the new Yahoo Mail.
