Retailers offering pre-orders as early as February 22nd

New HTC One UK release date and pricing confirmed

Yesterday HTC officially unveiled its new flagship smartphone. Moments after the announcement a number of UK network providers and retailers confirmed prices and availability for the HTC One.

The new smartphone is made entirely out of aluminium, runs on Android Jelly Bean, features a 4.7-inch 1080p display and LTE technology, and will be available in silver and black versions.

HTC revealed that the phone will be available globally through more than 185 mobile operators and major retailers in more than 80 regions and countries, beginning in March.

UK retailer Clove has been a bit more specific and revealed that it will be shipping the handset as of March 15th. SIM-free, the smartphone well set you back £500-plus.

Vodafone has also confirmed that the HTC One will be released in the UK on March 15th. The firm will be taking pre-orders as of March 1st and will offer the two following contracts:

– 600 minutes, unlimited texts, 500MB data, 2GB Wi-Fi data – £99.99 upfront, then £33 per month

– Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 1GB data and 2GB Wi-Fi data – free upfront, then £37 per month

Meanwhile Three has told customers they can pre-order the new HTC phone as of February 22nd.

A spokesperson for EE has revealed that the HTC One will be available on its superfast 4G service and will cost £69.99 on a £41 per month, 24 month plan. The parent company to both Orange and T-Mobile also added: “The HTC One will also be available on the UK’s largest 3G network from Orange and T-Mobile across a range of plans including £69.99 on a £36 per month, 24 month plan.”
