Picture this. You’re on a remote tropical island soaking up the sun whilst lounging about on the golden sands. There’s nothing to hear other than the sound of gentle waves lapping at the shoreline and birds chirping above in the trees. Friends by your side and cocktail in hand, it really is the definition of paradise.
Things then take a slight turn for the worst and the experience becomes much bleaker.
Everyone you know is taken, kidnapped and potentially murdered, leaving just you to fend for yourself. Trapped in a lawless oasis, players step into the shoes of Jason Brody, the game’s hero.

Veterans of the Far Cry franchise will find familiarity in the game’s vast open- world environment that challenges players to survive by any means necessary. Slash your way through thick jungles and foes, skin animals and use a variety of vehicles to trek your way across the island to complete objectives and discover new ones.
Far Cry 3 offers an adaptive storyline, which players shape through their actions within the game’s environment and interactions with the many people they meet throughout their journey.
Players dictate their own story on the island as they choose their friends and battle their enemies.
Outside of its deeply immersive single player story, Far Cry 3 also offers an innovative multiplayer mode that encourages and rewards team-based combat. Features such as battle cries reward players and their surrounding teammates with bonuses such as increased damage and support weaponry.
“Far Cry is a key franchise for Ubisoft, and Far Cry 3 is a major focus for us this Christmas,” says Ubisoft’s brand manager Louise Marchant.
“It’s a huge offering that is much more than just a survival adventure shooter and we are excited to finally be bringing that experience to fans.”
