Samsung announces Kwon Oh-hyun as new CEO

Samsung today announced that its current components boss Kwon Oh-hyun would become the new CEO of the tech giant.

Replacing current CEO Choi Gee-sung, Kwon will be handling corporate-wide affairs whilst continuing to be heavily involved in Samsung’s components business.

Choi will retain his seat on Samsung’s board as well as assuming the role of the head of Samsung Group Corporate Strategy Office. This role will focus on the company’s future growth engines.
