Nvidia launches cheaper wired 3D Vision glasses

Nvidia launched a wired version of the firm’s 3D Vision stereoscopic 3D glasses with a ‘more affordable’ price of US$99.

The new USB 2.0-equipped 3D glasses connect to a PC or notebook and will work with existing 3D Vision content and displays. The firm also highlighted a lock feature on the USB connector which the firm said was a "great feature for LAN parties and gaming centers"

The original wireless 3D Vision kit launched at $199 US, dropping to $149 in March of this year. In addition to 3D support for games and applications, Nvidia’s 3D Vision Surround may also be used for Blue-ray 3D movie playback.

The firm didn’t provide UK pricing.
