Google has launched the web-version of the Android marketplace, giving Android device owners the ability to browse and remotely install applications from their desktop computer.
The firm also unveiled enhanced features for Android developers including the ability to use higher resolution images and links to video demonstrations on the application pages.
Google also launched an in-app purchase system so that developers can sell enhancements and additional content directly to customers without needing a different item in the marketplace as was previously the case.
The new Android Marketplace web version is here.
