Sony Bravia KDL-22PX300 TV has built-in PlayStation 2

Sony has unveiled a new Bravia television model called the KDL-22PX300 which features a built-in PlayStation 2 games console.

While the PS2 may be getting a little long in the tooth, the Bravia KDL-22PX300 costs just £199 and yet manages to pack in 4 HDMI inputs, 720p LCD resolution, a Freeview digital TV tuner and of course the PlayStation 2 console with one game controller included.

The 22-inch set can of course use the PlayStation 2 to play DVDs but the massive back catalog of PS2 games is the unique attraction. The KDL-22PX300 also has an Ethernet port for internet, three USB sockets, VGA and SCART analog video inputs.

Aging games console that the PS2 may be, it still has an astonishing back catalog of quality games available at bargain basement prices that will look perfectly reasonable on a 22-inch set. Potentially making it an ideal games system present for the kids.

Richer sounds is offering the set for £199 ‘exclusive to in-store customers’.
