Apple trademarks ‘There’s an app for that’

Apple has successfully trademarked its oft-repeated slogan, ‘There’s an app for that’.

The iPhone maker’s trademark application, which was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in December last year, was approved on Friday.

According to the filing, Apple first used the ‘There’s an app for that’, tagline on January 26th 2009, and its use relates to “Retail store services featuring computer software provided via the Internet and other computer and electronic communication networks; retail store services featuring computer software for use on handheld mobile digital electronic devices and other consumer electronics.”
