Charles Quinn will take responsibility for European division

HP poaches Dell exec

Hewlett-Packard has poached Dell’s EMEA boss to head up its European operations, reports suggest.

According to Scotland on Sunday, Charles Quinn has joined HP after recently leaving Dell, and will be responsible for attracting new blue chip enterprise accounts in Europe and further afield.

Quinn, who worked at Microsoft until he was hired by Dell in 2007, initially heading up the firm’s Scottish operations, and going on to become EMEA vice president. His resignation was confirmed by Dell last week, which said he had left to “take up a fresh challenge”.

He worked at Microsoft until 2007 to head up Dell’s Scottish operation as director and general manager. A search has been launched for a successor, Scotland on Sunday reports.
