Disney has unveiled its new TRON: Legacy range of PC and console gaming controllers ahead of the movie’s release in December.
The company enlisted legendary PC gaming controller outfit Razer to produce the gaming mouse and keyboard. As you’d expect in keeping with the vintage SF classic visual theme, the new range incorporates glowing lines throughout.
Razer’s TRON mouse is of a similarly high spec to the firm’s other gaming products, featuring a 5600dpi 3.5g gaming grade sensor. The keyboard features programmable keys and macro capabilities, as well as a detachable keypad and of course there’s the obligatory high precision mouse mat too.
Disney also showed off a range of console controllers with Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3 devices commissioned from game controller manufacturer PDP and offering similar striking designs.
"TRON: Legacy is a cutting-edge film with a unique futuristic feel, and we wanted to create products with new technology and high-end design that live up to what you will see on screen," said Chris Heatherly, VP of toys and electronics, Disney Consumer Products.
"This is not a typical movie line. We’re working exclusively with trailblazers who normally do not do movie merchandise, but they believed so passionately in TRON that they jumped at the chance to help us make great products."
