?Windows inspired by Mac? comment snowballs across the net

Windows 7 retraction hits BBC and beyond

PCR’s interview with a Microsoft executive has hit headlines on some of the biggest news organisations in the world.

BBC, CNET, and ZDnet were among the hundreds of news websites and papers that covered PCR’s interview with Simon Aldous – where the Microsoft partner group manager notoriously claimed that Windows 7 was based on Apple’s operating system.

The news made waves across the net, which in turn saw Microsoft outrightly refute comments made by Aldous.

“Aldous was incorrect in describing Windows 7 [as ispired by Mac] and subsequent headlines claiming that the Mac OS inspired Windows 7 are totally inaccurate,” Microsoft’s statement read.
