New security console aims to offer users a range of options without adding to complexity

IBM to launch multivendor security suite

IBM has developed a security console that aims to support software from a wide range of vendors without the compatibility issue that usually arise.

The system, called Proventia Endpoint Security Control is structured to focus on four key areas: system protection, data protection, configuration management and system maintenance. According to Computer World, users can pick and choose which security program manages each security sector.

To start with, the system will support only TrendMicro’s antivirus program, however IBM says it will be implementing further vendors and products over time.
