Publisher expands portfolio with acquisition of tech website

Dennis buys

UK publisher Dennis has bought technology review website bit-tech, in a move that will boost Dennis’ online presence and net it an extra million unique visitors.

Bit-tech is authored by an international team that specialises in a variety of aspects of the IT industry. The site currently attracts over 1.05 million unique visitors and generates 6.6 million page impressions per month.

The entire editorial, advertising and development team will be taken on by Dennis and will continue to operate out of their current Ascot premises, reporting to Dennis’ digital technology publishing director, Barry Cronin.

“This acquisition is a logical step for and will ensure continued growth,” commented Bit Publishing’s managing director, Hugh Chappell.

“I am delighted for my staff – they have built a brilliant on-line only publication with the full support of the industry and our loyal readers. This is a win-win situation for everyone concerned.”
