Samsung expects digital rise

Samsung Electronics has revealed that it is targeting a 15 per cent rise to 30 trillion won ($32 billion) in global sales of digital media over 2007. Despite recession fears, Samsung believe steady grown in TV, printers and computer sales will result in an improved performance in 2008.

Park Jong-woo, head of Samsung’s digital media department, said in a statement that the company’s global pre-tax profit for the sector topped 1 trillion won in 2007.
