Among 1,073 patches are fixes reminiscent of Vista

XP SP3 contains Vista-esque updates

According to NeoSmart Technologies, one of the companies who have received the Microsoft Service Pack Three update, among the updates come several patches and hotfixes that appear to have come directly from the Vista operating system.

Among the 1,073 patches are Windows Product Activation models and Network Access Protection modules and policies, all believed to have been imported directly from the Vista OS.

The move is a little odd considering Microsofts desire to move consumers and businesses alike onto its most recent operating system, which it claims is selling as predicted, an analysis contrary to that of many doing the rounds on the web and in the press.
