ViaMichelin has announced the launch of its New Edition ViaMichelin Navigation range. The new ViaMichelin V.7 software offers improved performance across four key areas: navigation assistance, driving safety, comfort and driving pleasure.
The new V.7 software features a number of safety-related functions and information. These include; dangerous bend alerts, school alerts, roadworks alerts, authorised overtaking area alerts, tiredness alert and tunnel mode. All of these functions give a warning signal via a voice command or a beep as well as visual alerts.
Other content includes; Free 5-day weather forecasts, (updated twice a day) road toll locations and information and free safety camera updates
In addition, a free, real-time traffic information service informs the motorists of current traffic conditions and alternative routes, is now available for ViaMichelin Navigation X970-T and X-980T devices. An MP3 player is also Integrated into the device.
New Edition devices start at £139 and peak at £279 for the top of the range model.
