Storage specialist modernises following Memorex acquisition

New look for Imation

Imation Corp, the digital storage media specialist, has unveiled new Imation flash and optical packaging. The aim of the new look is to enable resellers and retailers to more easily differentiate offerings to business and consumer audiences, and from other manufacturers in their portfolio.

The new packaging will differentiate Imation’s optical and flash range from that of its recently acquired consumer brand, Memorex. While Memorex remains a recognised consumer brand in the market, Imation is a preferred brand for professional users and for those consumers who like to stay at the cutting edge of technology.

Barry Edmonds, regional director, UK and Iberia at Imation said, “It demonstrates a clear message that Imation is modern, direct and offers affordable media that professionals can trust. The simple and exclusive design will also enable our channel partners to define the brands to their customers easily and clearly.”

The new boxes will be available in warehouses across Europe from August 2007. Images of the Imation packaging design are available on request.
