HP plans joint Indian and Chinese push

The Wall Street Journal has quoted HP senior vice president who said the firm is set to expand into 100 extra Indian cities and 180 Chinese cities in the next two quarters of this year.

According to the report, HP will expand its presence by making partnerships with retailers. In 2006, HP, the world’s largest PC manufacturer, had a presence in 347 Chinese cities and 344 Indian ones.

The firm already dominates in the Indian market for peripherals after being ‘involved in a serious set to’ with Samsung over the last few years, reported The Inquirer.
