PC World takes on Devolo

Home networking specialist devolo has announced that its dLAN HomePlug powerline adaptors will be available at PC World.

The distribution agreement with DSG International will see devolo’s range of home networking starter kits available online and in stores across the UK immediately.

The company’s latest dLAN 200 AV starter kits offer data transfer rates of up to 200Mbps, supporting full multimedia home and business networking, Internet telephony and triple play services such as HDTV and video streaming.

Dean Kramer, network category manager at PC World said: "There is an increasing demand within the market for Internet-based services, from broadband and IP telephony to the latest triple-play entertainment such as HDTV. devolo’s highspeed adaptors offer consumers a simple, plug-and-play means of accessing them from any room, to create the true multi-media home."

Peter Huddleston, UK country manager at devolo said: "Partnering with PC World is a major new distribution channel for us and will make HomePlug powerline technology available to the widest possible consumer base, enabling users to share Internet resources throughout the house over existing electrical wiring."
