The graphics chip specialist has released a new version of its Ntune software.

Nvidia updates Ntune

Ntune is an official Nvidia tool developed for enthusiast gamers to scale up the clock frequencies on GeForce cards. The latest version, 5.05.38, is designed to fix some problems with the latest Nvidia driver releases – 158.18 for Windows Vista and 158.19 for XP, reported the Inquirer.

The software is now more compatible with Windows Vista’s User Account Control feature, meaning that users no longer need run the operating system with admin privileges in order to adjust the graphics settings.

Other additions to the software mean that an auto-tune of the card is now less likely to result in a reboot and there is now a more accurate reporting of clock frequencies.
