For the first time in the show's ten year history, Apple is to have a presence at Channel Expo.

Apple surprise late entry to Channel Expo

Although Apple won’t have its own stand, it will be exhibiting on the Westcoast stand in an arrangement confirmed today. Among other things, it will be actively promoting its premium reseller programme.

“We are proud to have Apple’s presence at the show, on Westcoast’s stand, for the first time in Channel Expo’s ten year history,” Marieke Visser, of show organiser Incisive VNU, exclusively told PC Retail.

“Having Westcoast and Apple on board completes the excellent list of exhibitors we have signed up already,” she continued. “These include Microsoft, Intel, AMD, Lenovo, Enta, Ingram and many more, we feel we’ve got a show lined up that truly is the best and biggest channel event in the UK.”

Visser was also keen to bring attention to the show’s forum, which will allow visitors to pose questions to a number of industry heavyweights. The line-up includes:

Karl Noakes – Director of channel development at Microsoft

Graham Palmer – Country manager at Intel

Richard Baker – European channel manager at AMD

Semmy Levitt – Country manager at Acer

Dave Poskett – Director of the solutions partner organisation at Hewlett-Packard

The addition of so many big names is sure to further enhance the appeal of the show. “We have made an effort to listen to our visitors and increase the value of the show for them,” said Visser. “We think with our educational program, the forum and the companies present at the show, we have a show to be proud of.”
