Three of the biggest names in the technology world have finally confirmed they are to exhibit at this year’s channel event.

Late entrants bolster Channel Expo

Microsoft, Intel and Lenovo have all recently signed on the dotted line to exhibit at Channel Expo, giving this year’s show one of the strongest vendor line-ups in recent memory.

They join the likes of AMD, Acer, LG and Toshiba to give the 2007 event a good cross section of major technology brands.

Microsoft will be bringing its roadshow, which has been touring the country discussing the implications of its big January launches of Vista and Office with the retailer and reseller channels.

Intel will be talking about its Core 2 Duo processor family and its impact on the Centrino and Viiv platforms.

Lenovo only confirmed yesterday so details of their offering are as yet unavailable, but there is the hope that further innovations in the business and consumer laptop market will be on show.

These major technology brands will join some familiar faces from the channel. Among the distributors on show will be Ingram Micro, Enta and Computer Connections.

The show runs from March 28th to the 29th at the Birmingham NEC. Other highlights include a discussion panel hosted by me at 12:00 on the 29th. We will be discussing the future of PC retailing and it would be great to see a nice lot of PC Retail readers there.
