Network Group kicks off 2024 with new chairman and events director announcement

As Network Group enters its 30th year in the MSP community, its first event of 2024, ‘Vision’ saw the announcement of Michael Morgan as chairman and Austen Clark as events director. The jam-packed two-day event treated members and partners to insightful presentations, discussions and networking opportunities, and was the perfect start to Network Group’s 2024 calendar.

Longstanding Network Group member Michael Morgan (director of Morgan and Morgan) has been voted in as the new chairman, taking over from Perry Ashby from Urban Network UK, who has held the role since 2019.

Morgan commented on his new role: “It’s a privilege to be taking over as Chairman of Network Group. I look forward to continuing the fantastic work Perry has done over the last 4 years and leading Network Group on its journey of growth and success.”

Austen Clark from Jera IT was also voted in as the new events director. Clark will be working closely with the in-house events team to continue to deliver outstanding events for members and partners.

Vision 2024

The first Network Group event of the year, Vision, brought together members and partners at the Hyatt Regency, Birmingham on 23-24 January. From partner-led roundtables to keynote talks and a lively networking evening, the two-day event was the perfect opportunity for Members to connect, learn and grow with industry peers and leaders.

Round-table discussions allowed partners to hear the latest from Network Group vendors, such as: Brigantia, ConnectWise, Egnyte, Huntress, Inbay Uptime, Inforcer, Mesh, N-able, OpenText Cybersecurity, Pax8, Pia, Pillr, ScalePad, Sophos, Terra Computer, ThreatLocker. A full rundown of the event can be seen on the Network Group website.

One of the main highlights was from motivational Keynote speaker, Darren Edwards. Former mountaineer and Army Reservist, Edwards sustained a life changing injury in 2016 leaving him permanently paralysed from the chest down. Now a record-breaking disabled adventurer and expedition leader, Edwards captivated the Network Group audience with his inspirational presentation which gave insight into his remarkable experiences and how he has overcome adversity.

Vision has been an impressive start to Network Group’s 2024 and the year ahead will be following in its footsteps with their landmark gala in April set to be their biggest event yet.

Network Group managing director David Tulip commented: “We’re extremely happy to have Michael on board as chairman, and I know that he will help continue to drive the success of our community. It’s been fantastic to meet with our members and partners again at Vision 2024, and I can’t wait for the year ahead.”
