Logitech Rugged Lite keyboard case gives schools confidence in iPad protection

Logitech has launched Rugged Lite, the newest keyboard case for iPad (7th, 8th and 9th gen). With an optimal angle for typing and viewing, a sealed, pluck-proof keyboard, and military-grade drop protection, the case was designed for students to enable an optimal learning experience.

Rugged Lite delivers durability and protection for iPad and is designed to be used intuitively by students in all the ways they learn at an affordable price point. The case sets an iPad at the ideal angle so students can naturally type / view, and when the case is collapsed students can easily sketch and read in the classroom and at home. Rugged Lite can withstand drops of up to 1.2 meters, so it’s ready for all the tumbles and falls that can happen during a school day.

“Educators and students need technology that works for the realities of the classroom and with Rugged Lite, students will keep learning and equipment will be protected,” said Sandro Fulgheri, head of education business Europe. “We learned directly from students in real-life classroom situations, and combined that with feedback from educators, to engineer a keyboard case that is built for school and ready for class.”

Along with dependable protection, Rugged Lite minimises interruptions in the classroom. The out-of-the-box compatibility reduces setup and troubleshooting time for educators. The battery is long-lasting too, designed to last one school year, based on an hour of usage every day, including holidays and weekends for eight straight months, making Rugged Lite ready to use all school year long. The easy-to-use and easy-to-clean design makes it ideal for shared use that keeps the technology safe. The keyboard case features pluck-proof keys, sealed under a durable and wipeable fabric with a liquid spill-resistant design built to withstand more than 50 common classroom chemicals.
