Tech Data partners with QNAP

Tech Data has extended its NAS portfolio by signing a distribution partnership with QNAP, a provider of business-class, network-attached storage (NAS) devices.

Adam Lee, business unit manager, Global Computing Components (GCC), Europe, Tech Data said: “With the boom in hybrid and home working, demand for enterprise-class storage solutions that are quick and easy to deploy and manage has been escalating. QNAP has a great reputation and is a valuable addition to our portfolio. It means we can offer our partners more NAS options and that they, in turn, can extend their reach and potential with NAS. It’s a great opportunity, both for current partners and those who are new to QNAP.”

QNAP, Posen Wang, UK country head, adds: “Tech Data has a tremendous reputation and reach in the business market. This partnership will give our existing partners access to its extensive services and capabilities and provide many more resellers with the opportunity to take QNAP’s industry-leading NAS solutions to market.”

Tech Data and QNAP will be working together to meet all the needs of partners. A programme of online events and information, to on-board new partners and support sales activity, is currently being put together by the GCC team at Tech Data.

The NAS market is growing fast. According to Research and Markets, it was worth $21.55 billion globally in 2020 and is expected to reach $62.77 billion by 2026 with a CAGR of 19.5 percent between 2021-2026. It is estimated that more than 80 percent of mid-market and enterprise organisations are using NAS.
