Arrow Electronics has signed a distribution agreement in the UK and France with Spanish unified application security vendor Hdiv Security. The vendor`s products help development and security teams detect security vulnerabilities in applications throughout the entire software lifecycle and protect them from attacks in production environments.
Hdiv Security’s Unified Security Platform products will be available through Arrow’s channel partner ecosystem to help incorporate application security within agile software development practices such as DevOps. Hdiv believes in incorporating security at the outset of the software development lifecycle to detect security bugs in the source code before they are exploited.
“With Hdiv Security our channel partners can incorporate protection to web applications and APIs when the code is being written. This early intervention during the development process means that that bugs and business logic flaws can’t be exploited further down the line and provides our channel with superior automated DevSecOps that’s required when engineering first-class software and APIs,” said Dan Waters, UK country manager for Arrow`s enterprise computing solutions business.
The agreement includes Hdiv Detection IAST (Interactive Application Security Testing) which is designed to find vulnerabilities without false positives, is applicable to the entire software development lifecycle and is easy to automate, as well as Hdiv Protection RASP (Runtime Application Self-Protection) which is designed to block attacks to an application in real-time.
“Hdiv has a 100 percent channel approach and we see this agreement with Arrow as a strategic milestone to expand our presence in key markets such as the UK and France,” said David Lumbreras, director, channel and alliances Hdiv Security. “Arrow has extensive market penetration in the security market working with key resellers and system integrators across many territories. Our innovative solutions help clients to improve security in web applications and APIs relevant to customers.”
