Planet9
Planet9, Acer’s gaming social community platform, rollouts a unique function – SigridWave. It is an in-game translator powered by ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) and NMT (Neural Machine Translation), making it capable of understanding gaming jargon and, ultimately, breaking language barriers to offer a better playing experience. Planet9 recently partnered with Currys PC World to feature Planet9 in its stores in order to enhance esports initiatives in the UK and Ireland. This includes an in-house designed arena to give players a chance to see what it’s like being part of a local gaming club, practising with teammates and learning from coaches.
ConceptD 7 and ConceptD 7 Pro notebooks
The refreshed ConceptD 7 and ConceptD 7 Pro notebooks with powerful graphics offer a new custom-engineered thermal cooling solution. The 3 new members in the TravelMate series are powered up to 11th Gen Intel® Core processors with Iris graphics and optional discrete GPU; eSIM-enabled 4G LTE connectivity, and MIL-STD 810G military durability standard compliant, making them an ideal companion for commercial users to get through the entire workday.
The new Predator/Nitro gaming monitors feature up to UWQHD (3440×1440) resolution, 280Hz refresh rate (overclocked), 0.5ms (G to G) response time, NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, DisplayHDR 600, and Delta E<1. Acer’s new Halo Smart Speaker is one of the first Google Assistant compatible smart speaker with DTS sound to provide rich, high-quality audio that is projected in 360 degrees to fill any room. RGB base-lighting is customizable, notably the option to sync with music to set just the right vibe or choose a colour scheme suited for day or night.
The antimicrobial solution is offered on the Spin 5 and Porsche Design Acer Book RS notebooks, helping our customers to adapt to the pandemic by reducing growth of odour and stain-causing microorganisms.
