The ergonomic Roto VR Chair has been designed with the user experience in mind, creating an immersive 360-degree VR experience. Compatible with the majority of VR Headsets the chair can also be purchased with the bundled Roto VR HeadTracker which connects the VR headset to the chair and instantly rotates it to wherever you look. An integrated electric drive allows the seat to rotate at a speed of up to 22rpm or 132degrees per second (18 rpm for a person weighing over 120 kg).
The Rotos VR Chair uses movement for an authentic experience using walking movements within VR software while seated, enabled by foot pedals. The starter package includes rumble modules attached to the back and bottom of the chair, designed to improve immersion through force feedback. For compatible wired VR headsets, such as the original Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive, special cable magazines have been recessed into the chair base to allow free 360-degree rotation without cables restricting movement. Additional magazines are planned, with mounts for the HTC VIVE Pro and Oculus Rift S expected to follow in December. Using a wired VR headset not yet listed as compatible is possible, simply by utilising a VR-Ready laptop.
Accessories for the Roto VR Chair include a desktop table for a keyboard or laptop, side tables for HOTAS systems or a mouse, as well as a racing pack that supports third party steering wheels and pedal sets. Compatible racing simulation accessories include Logitech’s G28, G29 and G920 as well as the Thrustmaster T150.
The Roto VR Chair is now available through Schenker Technologies via its e-commerce platform bestware.com.
