Shuttle adds P90U all-in-one model to its XPC range

Shuttle has expanded its XPC all-in-one range to include three new models.

The P90U series features a multi-touch display in a 19.5-inch format (49.5 cm) and Intel Celeron, Core i3 or Core i5 processors.

The largest all-in-one PC in Shuttle’s range to date has a screen resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Despite the convenient screen size, the model appears compact, and with its dimensions of 48.7 × 32.1 × 4.4 cm (WHD).

Inside the base model, an efficient Intel Celeron 3865U processor with 2x 1.8 GHz and HD Graphics 610 provides plenty of computing power. Two more powerful versions are also available that go by the model names P90U3 and P90U5.

The P90U3 sports an Intel Core i3-7100U processor clocked at 2.4 GHz with Intel HD Graphics 620. A Core i5-7200U (max. 3.1 GHz with Intel HD Graphics 620)  comes with the P90U5. All versions feature two SO-DIMM slots for a total of 32 GB of DDR4 memory.

Thanks to the IP54 certification, all P90U models are splashproof and can also be used in particularly dusty environments. The P90U platform does not use any fans at all, hence it is ideally suited to noise-sensitive environments and constant 24/7 operation. Setting it up in specific scenarios requiring a particular orientation and operating position is possible too, thanks to the individually adjustable stand. There is also a standard VESA fixing which can be used for wall or surface mounting.

“The larger screen with a multi-touch function and the higher resolution now also allow creative applications extending beyond POS, control and automation,” said Tom Seiffert, head of marketing and PR at Shuttle Computer Handels. “We offer a wide range of all-in-one PCs with the formats 19.5-inches, 15.6-inches and 11.6-inches.”

The compact chassis provides space for a 2.5-inch drive (HDD/SSD) and an NVMe SSD in the M.2 format. A webcam, microphone, speaker, WLAN, Bluetooth and Gigabit Ethernet are already integrated in the system. HDMI and VGA connections and six USB interfaces (2x USB 3.0 and 4x USB 2.0) complete the features on offer.

Optionally available accessories include an expansion kit with two COM ports and an LPT port (PCL71) as well as a port expansion consisting of four COM ports, an LPT port and an RJ11 port (POS01).

Shuttle’s recommended retail price for the XPC Barebone P90U is EUR 465, the P90U3 costs EUR 691 and the P90U5 sells for EUR 777 (all ex VAT).

The machines are available from specialist retailers across Europe as of now. Initial shortages of the P90U3 may occur.

A variant in white of both the P90U and P90U3 will become available in a few weeks.
