Andrew Jane named CTO of Olive Communications

Cloud telephony and unified communications (UC) provider Olive Communications has appointed Andrew Jane as chief technology officer, to drive and support its global technology and cloud services strategy during a time of accelerated growth.

Industry specialist Jane joins Olive’s senior executive leadership team from Mitel, where he was responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions for global cloud infrastructure, environments and applications.

His appointment comes at a pivotal period for Olive, which has seen prolific growth in its cloud telephony and contact centre revenues. Last month the company also announced ambitious international expansion plans, with the opening of an Australian office and another planned in North America.

Jane will be responsible for technology, innovation and product strategy, reporting directly to Olive Communications’ group CEO, Martin Flick, who commented: “This is a hugely exciting time for Olive as the plans we laid down four years ago have proved successful, growing cloud revenues five-fold in that time, with some landmark customer wins and some key milestones in partnership with Mitel and Vodafone.

“We were first to market with a fully integrated Mitel telephony, contact centre and integrated Vodafone mobile platform, on a pure subscription model all hosted in the cloud, first to win an Enterprise scale UC as a service deployment (UCaaS), first to deploy a hybrid world cloud platform globally and the results speak for themselves.”

Jane added: “Olive has been hugely successful over the years and has proven success and credibility in the UC and Contact Centre cloud arena. It’s exciting to be joining as the company continues to expand its global reach, whilst transitioning and elevating its technological abilities to the next level.

“Olive’s ability to be agile, disruptive, visionary and forward thinking are attributes that are key to its success and I will continue to build on the existing synergies between myself and the team, who I have worked with previously. The leadership and ability to execute whilst delivering an exceptional customer experience with first class business solutions has elevated Olive to the powerful position it is in now. I’m very much looking forward to building on this strong track record and developing Olive’s cloud services.”
