MINIX introduces “world’s first SSD/adapter” for Mac

Media hub and adapter brand MINIX has introduces the NEO Storage – a device it claims is the world’s first portable SSD storage hub with a versatile adapter for Mac.

The brand new MINIX NEO Storage “redefines external SSD storage” by combining speed and functionality in an aluminium hub for MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. It includes built-in SSD storage, HDMI [4K @ 30Hz], 2 x USB 3.0 and an USB-C pass-through charging port.

This SSD-adapter-hybrid provides easy access to data and content and is an ideal device for storing 4K video and photos that can be output to an external display within seconds via the integrated HDMI port. The MINIX NEO Storage will come with two capacities: the MINIX NEO S1’s 120GB SSD storage supports up to 350MB/s read and write speed, while the MINIX NEO S2’s 240GB SSD storage supports up to 400MB/s read and write speed.

The device will be available at selected retailers from early June with an MRSP of £69.90 for the 120GB version and £89.90 for the 240GB.
